The Holiday Inn Express Bethany Beach has gone green!
Certified as a Delaware Green Lodging facility, the Holiday Inn Express Bethany Beach provides green hotel accommodations for guests to enjoy luxury at the beach all the while helping to protect the local environment through a commitment to ongoing sustainable initiatives.
Our current efforts include:
- Single stream recycling bins in all guest rooms, public and back-of-house areas meaning no separating your plastic, glass or paper items
- Motion detectors in guest laundry, housekeeping and vending areas
- Liner-less trash receptacles in guest rooms
- Laundry and cleaning products which are phosphate-free, plant-based, pH neutral, greywater/septic safe and free from caustics, ammonia and chlorine
- 100% CFL bulbs in guest rooms and public areas
- PowerKuff energy monitoring system
- Toro Intelli-sense Smart Irrigation Controller
- Linen-reuse program
- Post-consumer recycled office supplies including paper, file folders, pens and storage boxes

- Breakfast Bar plates, silverware and beverage containers made of recycled materials
